Proposed Updated Definition of Waters of the US

On November 20, 2025, EPA published a proposed updated definition of Waters of the US. Among other changes, the proposed definition narrows the scope of jurisdictional wetlands to just those wetlands or portions of wetlands that exhibit surface water during the wet season.
