Come join us in Raleigh, NC to learn about the latest developments in state environmental legislation.
Jennifer Mundt, Senior Legislative Analyst with the Research Division of the North Carolina General Assembly, and Erin Wynia, Legislative and Regulatory Issues Manager with the North Carolina League of Municipalities, will brief us on enacted environmental legislation and forecast issues that may come before the 2016 General Assembly when it convenes in April.
In the environmental arena, the General Assembly again focused much of its attention on regulatory reform during the 2015 legislative session. Ms. Mundt will discuss many of the issues addressed in recently enacted environmental legislation including: reforms to riparian buffers, stormwater laws, SEPA, and various remediation and solid waste programs. Ms. Wynia will comment on the enacted legislation and make predictions on what may be the hot environmental topics taken up in the upcoming legislative session.
